2 Dead In Seperate Weekend Traffic Accidents
STARKVILLE, Miss (WCBI) – A deadly 24 hours on North Mississippi highways with two fatal crashes in the region. MHP Troop G Spokesman Trooper Greg Bell says the first occurred around 5:30 Saturday afternoon in Calhoun County . Bell says two cars collided at the intersection of Highways 9 and 8. One person was killed and 3 seriously injured.
The second happened about 12 hours later in Lowndes County. Bell says around 5:15 Sunday morning a car left Highway 12 near Shorty Baker Road. That car flipped and the driver suffered fatal injuries when thrown from the car. The MHP says more details including the names of the victims will be released later Sunday.
