3 Dead In Attala County Crash

On Sunday October 25, at approximately 3:56a.m. The Mississippi Highway Patrol along with the Attala County Sheriff Department and rescue officials responded to a two vehicle accident on Ms Highway 12 near McAdams in Attala County.
A 2005 Chrysler 300 driven by 24 yr old Karlandus Kilbert from Milwaukee, Wisconsin was traveling west on MS 12.  A second vehicle a 2014 Jeep driven by 22 yr old Shanice Malone from Sallis, MS was attempting to enter MS 12 from a private drive.  As the jeep entered MS 12 the Chrysler collided with it.  After impact both vehicles traveled off of MS 12, the Chrysler to the right shoulder and the Jeep traveled off the left shoulder where it overturned ejecting a rear passenger.
Kilbert and a passenger in the jeep 35 yr old Tracy Palmer from Canton were transported by Ambulance to The University Medical Center in Jackson with possible life threatening injuries.  Two other passengers in the jeep 2 yr old Kemaya Malone who was ejected, 6 yr old Kemyla Malone along with the driver Shanice Malone had to be extracted from their vehicle, all died at the scene from injuries they sustained.  A passenger in the Chrysler 23 yr old Kentreal Windom from Sallis did not go to the hospital.
The accident is still under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol and the Mississippi Bureau of Investigations Accident investigation team.
