$40K Of Marijuana Seized In Columbus, Two Arrests Made

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Narcotics agents seize 38 pounds of marijuana in Columbus.

Now, two men are facing drug charges.

Aaron Dumas, 39, is charged with trafficking marijuana, along with conspiracy to possess or distribute marijuana and conspiracy to commit a crime.

Leshun Harris, 27, is charged with trafficking marijuana and conspiracy to possess or distribute marijuana.

The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation says the men were arrested after a search warrant at 413 Idlewild Road on January 26th.

Dope seized in the operation is worth about $40,000 on the streets.

Bond for Dumas was set at $50,000 and $45,000 for Harris.

The Lowndes County Narcotics Task Force, U.S. Postal Inspectors, Columbus police and Lowndes County Sheriff’s Department assisted in the arrest.
