NMMC honoring fallen flight nurse

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – The North Mississippi Medical Center is is hosting a helipad plaque dedication ceremony to honor Chief Flight Nurse Jim Spruiell on Sunday.

Spruiell was one of three killed in November 2017 when a medical helicopter went down in rural Arkansas.

Friends and colleagues established the Jim Spruiell Memorial Scholarship in his memory.

In May, first scholarship was awarded to his daughter Madison of Sulligent, Alabama.
