6 Local Cities are Best Places to Retire in Mississippi

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — If you’re looking to retire here in the Magnolia State, North Mississippi is the place to be.

That’s according to a new study from SmartAsset, which ranked the 10 best places to retire in Mississippi.

Topping the list, Columbus came in at number one, with Corinth at number two.

Amory ranked sixth.

New Albany, Booneville, and Tupelo were eight, nine, and ten.

The study considered four main factors: income and sales tax, the number of doctors’ offices, and options for recreation and a social life.
