Major highway in Columbus closes for railroad repairs

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – A major Highway in Columbus will be closed Tuesday.

City leaders announced Sunday that Highway 182 at 21st street near the Salvation Army will be closed all day today.

The city said the road has been closed for railroad repairs.

The road was closed early Tuesday morning and is expected to re-open Wednesday.

Area drivers are advised to plan for an alternate route.
