Alabama surpasses 5,000 coronavirus cases

In Alabama, cases of coronavirus have surpassed 5,000.

The state has reported 144 deaths from COVID-19.

In West Alabama, Lamar County reported 9 cases of the virus. Pickens County has 42 cases.

Tuscaloosa reported 157 cases and one death from Coronavirus.

Governor Kay Ivey extended the states Stay at Home order until April 30.
