Columbus Chick-fil-A temporarily closes after member tests positive for COVID-19

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – If you didn’t realize it yet, the Chick-fil-A in Columbus has temporarily closed and the restaurant chain told WCBI that’s because a team member tested positive for COVID-19.

Several WCBI viewers called asking about the popular stop near 18th Ave and 5th Street North.

The chain released a statement that explained after learning an employee tested positive for coronavirus, they immediately closed to take measures to disinfect and deep clean the restaurant.

It went on and said safety for employees and guests is a top priority.

No word on when the restaurant will reopen.
