Dutschke Sentencing Date Set

ABERDEEN, Miss. (WCBI) – James Everett Dutschke is scheduled to be sentenced May 14 by U.S. District Judge Sharion Aycock in Aberdeen on charges of manufacturing ricin and mailing poisoned letters to the president and two other public servants.

Dutschke first denied all involvement with the ricin tainted letters, but later confessed to all charges.

He sent ricin laced letters to President Barack Obama, Sen. Roger Wicker and Lee County Justice Court Judge Sadie Holland in Apr. 2013.

Prosecutors have recommended a 25-year sentence be enforced on his four guilty counts.

Dutschke is being held in the Lafayette County Detention Center without bond.
