Warmer Weather Returns; Showers And Storms Round Out The Week.

TODAY: Much warmer, but the sunshine sticks around. Highs in the upper 60s and low 70s. Southwest winds at 5-15 mph gusting to 20 mph at times. We stay well above freezing overnight, with lows in the 40s.

FRI/SAT/SUN/MON: Rain chances return to our area Friday through Monday. Scattered showers and thunderstorms on Friday, with an isolated strong to locally severe storm not totally out of the question. Shower and storm coverage becomes a bit more isolated on Saturday, with the best chance of rain coming after sundown on Saturday. More scattered showers and storms move in Sunday, especially Sunday evening into Monday morning. Those storms will again have the potential to become strong to severe. Right now, the primary threat in all of the thunderstorms Friday appears to be heavy downpours, gusty winds, and perhaps some hail. It’s still a bit early to say what the main threats will be Sunday night into Monday morning just yet. We’re still ironing out the details, so check back often for forecast updates. High temperatures during the Friday-Monday timeframe remain in the 70s, with lows in the 50s.

TUE/WED: A bit cooler Tuesday and Wednesday as colder air filters in behind a cold front that will have pushed through Monday. Highs in the 50s and 60s under partly cloudy skies. Overnight lows Tuesday in the 30s.
