More Storms Tuesday, Less Humid & Sunny Late Week

SUMMARY: Tropical air sticks around through Tuesday and that means a continuation of showers and storms. Drier air should return Wednesday and that means a quiet end to the work week.

MONDAY NIGHT: Scattered evening showers will gradually fade away. A few additional showers or storms are possible late, especially across our northwestern counties. Lows in the low 70s.

TUESDAY: Showers and storms are likely again with the chance of rain at 50-60%. Highs top out in the 80s.

Tuesday Front

TUESDAY NIGHT: Variably cloudy with a few lingering showers or storms still possible. Lows in the low 70s.

WEDNESDAY: Northerly winds kick up and that will usher in much drier during the day. The chance of rain in our viewing area 20% or less with  higher odds of storm activity in south central and southern MS & AL. Highs top out in the mid to upper 80s. Low 60s are possible Wednesday night.

THURSDAY-FRIDAY: High pressure barrels into the region for a few days and that means a lot more sunshine and less humid air. Look for highs in the mid 80s to around 90 with cooler overnight lows in the lower 60s. A few upper 50s can’t be totally ruled out.

LABOR DAY WEEKEND: Southerly flow returns and that means more humidity and pop-up storms. High will be in the upper 80s to lower 90s with a 20-30% chance of showers and storms, mainly during the heating of the day.
