Facebook Foils Gun Selling Burglar

PRENTISS COUNTY, MS (WCBI) –  Memo to would be burglars. It might not be the best idea to steal a limited edition gun.   That’s what led to the arrest of a Booneville man on home burglary charges.

26 year old Nathan Vuncannon is accused of stealing four guns from a Prentiss County home.  One of those was a limited editio Beretta Ducks Unlimited edtion.  Prentiss County Sheriff Randy Tolar posted a picture of a similar gun on its facebook page.  A Prentiss County resident immediately recognized that as one of three guns he had  purchased and called deputies.  That in turn led them to Vuncannon.   The unwitting buyer will not be charged in the case.   Officers are still looking for a Ruger MK 2 rifle that Vuncannon also sold.
