Wet Friday Night & Saturday, Sunny For Christmas
TONIGHT: Low clouds will tend fill back in during the night and we’ll be overcast by sunrise. Steady temperatures in the 50s should continue.
FRIDAY: There is a 30% chance of rain showers, mainly northwest of the Golden Triangle. Mostly cloudy skies are expected with highs in the upper 60s to lower 70s. Southerly breezes will be more noticeable in the 10 to 15 mph range.
FRIDAY NIGHT: A cold front will bring rain into our area from NW to SE. Temperatures should remain mild during the night and lows may only be in the lower 60s or upper 50s.
SATURDAY: A nearly 100% chance of rain exists during the morning with lesser chances as the afternoon wears on. Total rainfall Friday & Saturday may range from about 1/3″ to well over 2″ of rain. The highest totals will be JUST to our northwest towards Memphis and the I-40 corridor. As for temperatures, the will cool into the 50s or even upper 40s by late in the afternoon. Plan on mid 30s for lows Saturday night.
SUNDAY: A mix of sun and clouds is likely. Look for highs in the upper 40s to around 50.
CHRISTMAS DAY: We’ll wake up to cold conditions in the mid 20s but abundant sunshine will allow us to warm into the mid to upper 40s.
