Cold Front Coming Friday

TONIGHT: Clouds are going to fill back in but we’re still looking at mild temperatures in the 60s.  Southerly breezes continue.

FRIDAY:  Balmy 60s will be had during the morning hours but a cold front is going to force temperatures to drop into the 50s and 40s during the course of the afternoon.  There is a 50% chance of showers with the front but rainfall amounts are expected to be generally 1/4″ or less.

SATURDAY:  A frontal boundary is expected to split our area in 2 temperature-wise.  Areas north of the front may stay in the 40s and 50s while locations to the south may get into the 60s and 70s.  Lots of clouds are likely during the day along with rain showers.  The most concentrated area of rain looks to set up north of US 278 where between 1/2″ and 1″+ may fall.  The chance of rain is 70%.

SUNDAY:  Rain chances lower to about 30% but that still means a few showers are possible.  Temperatures should moderate back into the low to mid 60s in most areas.

NEXT WEEK:  Unseasonably warm, spring-like air will remain entrenched for the first half of the week.  Highs are going to be well into the 70s and a few spots may get to 80.  Rain chances are pretty low through Tuesday but odds go up Wednesday with an advancing cold front.  We may see some heavy rain and perhaps some storms by that time.
