COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – It was an early start for over 200 runners in downtown Columbus.
The 2nd Annual Streetcar 5K Run started out this morning on Main Street at the Tennessee Williams home and followed the old street car route of Columbus. Director Abby Malmstrom says the participation of active runners this year was almost 10 times more then the 30 or so of last year.
Runners crossed the finish line to receive metals and beverages.
The event was sponsored by Columbus Visitor Convention and Visitor Bureau and Squinchers.
