Aberdeen city leaders delay municipal elections

ABERDEEN, Miss. (WCBI) – Aberdeen’s municipal elections will be delayed once again.

Aldermen pushed the Democratic primary to June 2. If needed, the runoff will be June 16.

The general election has been scheduled for July 7.

City leaders made the move due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This is the second time the election has been moved because of the coronavirus.
