MACON, Miss. (WCBI) — Crime Stoppers and Macon Police need the public’s help finding an Aberdeen man suspected of shooting another man in Noxubee County.

Macon police say 27-year-old Oscar Clemons is wanted in connection with the May 4 shooting of Darius Halbert of Crawford.

The shooting happened as the two men drove separate cars along Highway 45 at Walnut Stree at about 6:30 that evening.

The 34-year-old Halbert drove to Noxubee General Hospital where he reported the shooting to two Macon Police officers.

He has since been released from the hospital.

Clemons is a former Macon resident.

Police say the dispute started as a domestic disturbance at a home. Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 800-530-7151 or Macon Police at 662-726-5847.
