Agencies and business come together to help tornado victims

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – As clean-up continues in Columbus, several agencies and businesses are providing help for tornado victims.

The Red Cross has set up a shelter at the Townsend Community Center on 15th Street South. People who lost their homes or have extensive damage can stay at the shelter.

Also, C Spire has opened a charging station for cell phones in the parking lot of Carter Funeral Home. That’s on 14th Street North.

And finally, volunteers are still needed for debris removal and at feeding stations. If you would like to help, you can call the United Way Volunteer Center at 662-370-8600.
