Alabama Man Caught With Drug Laced Candy
DOTHAN, Ala. (AP) – An Alabama man is facing felony charges after police say they found candies laced with drugs inside his car.
The Dothan Eagle reports (http://bit.ly/1X7gTXc ) police charged Zachary McMurphy Cobb with illegal drug possession after a traffic stop.
Dothan police Lt. Mark Nelms says a search of the vehicle Cobb was driving turned up a bubble-wrapped package containing multiple rolls of Smarties candy. He says the candy was laced with a synthetic chemical similar to LSD.
Police say they seized a handgun, marijuana and a power suspected of being another illegal drug after executing a search warrant at Cobb’s home after he was pulled over Friday.
It was not immediately known if Cobb had a defense attorney.
