Video: Alabama Names New State Superintendent

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WCBI) — A former education adviser to the governor of Massachusetts, will serve as Alabama’s new state superintendent.

The Alabama Board of Education named Michael Sentance to the post Thursday morning.

In addition to working for the state of Massachusetts, Sentance has also worked for the U.S. Department of Education.

The search for a new superintendent started in March when Tommy Bice retired.
