Alert Homeowner Foils 4-Wheeler Theft – Starkville Man Behind Bars

WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI) -They say he tried to steal a 4 wheeler, but he didn’t count on the owner’s persistence.

Clay County Sheriff’s Deputies arrest Anthony Woods of Starkville after he allegedly tried to take the ATV from behind the owner’s home. The alert homeowner spotted Woods, called 9-1-1, and followed him giving deputies a full description of the accused thief and his vehicle.

Woods is charged with Grand Larceny and Malicious Mischief. He remains in the Clay County Jail on a $100,000.00 bond.
