Amory Child Hit By Car Friday

AMORY (WCBI) – An Amory 9 year old is currently being treated at North Mississippi Medical Center after being hit by a car just before 4 Friday afternoon.

  Amory Police say the child was among a group of kids which had just been dropped off by the school bus near 5th Street North and &th Avenue North.   After the bus pulled away, the child spotted money in the road and as she ran to grab it,she fell and hit the side of a  passing car  No official word on her condition but police say the child was alert when she was taken away by ambulance.
