Amory Man Accused of Burglary, Stealing Two 4-Wheelers

AMORY, Miss. (WCBI)- A traffic stop turns into a burglary arrest in Amory.

Antoine Griffin Junior, 21,  was arrested and charged with grand larceny on Sunday.

According to Amory Investigators, some officers noticed a suspicious car without a tag parked on a dead-end road. Griffin and two other people were inside.

After a stop and search of the vehicle, the police officers found items that appeared to be stolen.

Officers later discovered Griffin had an outstanding warrant and faces other misdemeanor charges, which led to his arrest.

Sunday morning, officers learned a business on Highway 6 was broken into. The thieves took two four wheelers.

The officers found more evidence and were able to track down the stolen four wheelers in a nearby wooded area.

This led to the charge of grand larceny for Griffin

Griffin is being held at Amory City Jail awaiting arraignment with a Monroe County Justice Court Judge.

The other occupants, Devonta Fudge, 23, and Shaderick Hinton, 20, both from Aberdeen, are wanted for grand larceny. There are other charges and arrests pending.
