Amory Man Arrested for Felony Vehicle Theft, Petit Larceny
MONROE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — Monroe County sheriff’s deputies have arrested a man they believe stole a vehicle from a local business.
According to Monroe County Sheriff’s Department Public Relations Officer Tanya Willems, deputies arrested 19-year-old Amory man Jeremy Oswalt about noon Wednesday in connection with the March 2014 theft, when he allegedly stole a Kia Spectra from S&J Auto Sales.
Oswalt was charged with felony taking of a vehicle and petit larceny.
Willems said Oswalt’s petit larceny charge stems from a separate case in which he allegedly stole a Nintendo DS handheld gaming system.
Oswalt is currently detained at the Monroe County Detention Center; his bond has not been set.
