Amory Police Nabbed Suspect In Sunday

AMORY (WCBI) – An Amory man stands accused of a Sunday armed robbery and kidnapping.

Amory Police have charged 23 year old Deionta Ivory with two counts of Armed Robbery and 2 counts of Kidnapping in connection with the Sunday incident.   Ivory is accused of jumping into the car with two people Sunday in the parking lot of the Subway restaurant and robbing them at gunpoint.  Police say the suspect then forced them to drive to the Chevron on Highway 278 and sent one of the victims inside to buy some items.  When that took too long Ivory became nervous and fled the scene.
