Apartment fire causes minor damage

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)- An apartment is damaged in morning fire in Columbus.

The happened at the Westchester Square Apartments at 319 11th Street North.

The call came in to fire crews around 10 Tuesday morning.

Columbus Fire and Rescue says the renter was boiling a pot of water and it boiled over.

The stove and a counter top caught on fire, but it was quickly contained.

There were no injuries.
