Apartment Fire Leaves Columbus Person Homeless

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – One person is homeless after an apartment fire in Columbus on Tuesday afternoon.

Firefighters were called to the 600 block of 22nd Street North about 1 PM.

One apartment was damaged by smoke and water.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

No one was injured.

The person living in the apartment is receiving assistance from the Red Cross.
