An Area Congregation Celebrates The Opening Of Their New Church

WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI) – The congregation of West Point’s Trinity African Methodist Episcopal Church celebrates the opening of their new church.

Dozens of members attended Saturday’s dedication ceremony.

Local officials were also there to witness the ribbon cutting.

The new church is located on East Marrow Street.

Members say the year and half spent constructing the new building in its new location is proof they are committed to the community.

“We hope they take away from today, the unity and love and dedication that Trinity has rustled up at home to represent and let them know we are available and ready to serve,” says church member, Debbie Brown.

Reverend Edward Brown leads the church.

Trinity African Methodist Episcopal Church has 120 members.
