STARKVILLE, Miss. (Press Release) — The Starkville Police Department arrested 25-year-old Anthony Lamar Williams residing at 1200 Louisville Street Apartment C1 in Starkville, charging him with the murder of Tyrell Deshon Gillespie.

Anthony Lamar Williams was identified as the shooter of a homicide that occurred Wednesday at 1200 Louisville Street Apartments in Starkville.

He was also charged with disorderly conduct, processed and transported to the Oktibbeha County Jail.

21-year-old Devonte Tyjuan Lucious residing at 382 Kincade Road in Starkville was also arrested. Lucious was charged with accessory after the fact for his actions after the homicide.

The Starkville Police Department had recognized this area of Starkville as an area of concern, and had taken steps to set up a Police Sub-Station at 1200 Louisville Street Apartments in an effort to deter criminal activity.

Authorities say the nature of this incident is not representative for any areas of the community, and believe that this is an isolated incident.

A $500,000 bond was set for Williams; a $10,000 bond for Lucious.

    Sad, is there anything for these kids to do beside shooting and killing each other. How does this constantly happen?

    This was a sad case I hope the shooter gets exactly what he deserves an his bond is set at 500.000 bond which is sad he needs no bond for what he had done in broad day light in front of kids an family was out there watching it’s ridiculous!!!!
