Arrests Made In 3 County Burglary Spree
TUPELO, MS (WCBI) Five people face various charges after a burglary investigation spanning two months and 3 counties. Lee County Sheriff Jim Johnson says investigators with his office and detectives with the Itawamba County Sheriffs department started noticing similarities between some break ins happening in both locations.
Two people were picked up and that led to another group of 3 connected to the thefts and to the Union County Sheriff searching a residence where some of the stolen goods from Lee and Itawamba County were found. That in turn led to a series of search warrants served Wednesday by the North Mississippi Narcotics Unit at residences in Guntown and Saltillo. 33 year old Lucas Lee of Guntown, 30 year old Christine Spearman of Tupelo and 41 year old Lisa Wade of Saltillo all face various felony drug charges in addition to the charges stemming from the home break ins. Marcus McCaine of Saltillo and Brooke Fowler of Saltillo are charged in connection with the home burglaries only. More arrests in the case are expected
