Arrests Made In Prentiss Co. Burglaries

PRENTISS COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — Prentiss County deputies have arrested two people they believe are behind two recent burglaries.

Investigators say leads in the case pointed to Britt Adam Wheeler and Bradley Dean Jackson, both of Booneville.

The sheriff’s department says Wheeler attempted to flee, after he was spotted by a deputy. The deputy discontinued the pursuit after he noticed a small child in the vehicle.

Wheeler’s vehicle was later found hidden behind his home. He tried to run again, but was eventually captured.

During the brief pursuit, investigators say Wheeler threw objects from the vehicle that were later recovered, and determined to have been stolen from one home that was burglarized.

Jackson was arrested when he turned himself in to authorities.

Both have been charged with two burglaries, one on County Road 8301, and the other on Highway 364.

Both their bonds were set at $50,000, and they remain in custody.
