Art piece installation causes Tupelo street closure

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – There’s a major street closing in Tupelo Thursday.

Main Street from Commerce to Fairpark Drive will be closed Thursday from noon until five.

The city said an art piece is being installed that will be used to celebrate the city’s Sesquicentennial.

The Tupelo Convention and Visitors Bureau is helping lead the project.

City leaders said the street closure is only for Thursday.
