Ashland man killed in early morning accident in Oxford

OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI) – An Ashland man was killed in a crash in Oxford.

Benjamin Ferguson, 42, struck a tree head-on at the intersection of South Lamar Boulevard and Johnson Avenue.

Police were called out to that crash about three Monday morning.

Ferguson was trapped.

Police said he later died from his injuries at a hospital.

Oxford police are investigating the crash.
