Back in the courtroom, Starkville mayoral dispute continues

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – Court continues for the contested mayoral race in Starkville.

Mayor Lynn Spruill and candidate Johnny Moore are back in the courtroom today, April 11.

Moore lost the mayoral race by 7 votes in 2017.

He says some of the affidavit ballots thrown out of the previous election should be counted.

Today, witnesses were examined and cross examined by attorneys.

While we were in the courtroom, Pete Perry was on the witness stand.

Perry is an expert witness for the Moore team.

On Monday, the entire day consisted of examination and cross examination of poll managers from the wards who threw out these affidavit ballots.

No decision has been made yet.
