LAMAR COUNTY, Ala. (WCBI) – Mississippi children have been back in school for a little while now, but in Alabama, classes just resumed Monday (8-19).
At Lamar County High School, hundreds of students got back in the educational swing, Monday morning.
Principal Vance Herron says things went as smoothly as could be expected.
New students, last minute class changes and re-aligned grades always present a challenge.
Principal Herron says, ” We have an assembly, first thing in the morning, the first day of school, trying to line everyone out on their expectations, what we expect of them. We have open house day, to the first day of school, and so we let everyone know where they are going to.”
Most of the students we talked to said they are happy to be back at school.
