Belden Woman Killed In Pontotoc County Wreck

PONTOTOC COUNTY (WCBI) – A car-deer collision has claimed the life of a Belden woman.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol says the wreck happened around 5 Thursday morning on Highway 346 near the Ashley Furniture plant.   Troopers say 38 year old Carly Tate was westbound when her car hit the deer, overturned and caught fire.

Tate was pronounced dead at the scene.
