Belmont Man ID’d as Boating Victim in Tishomingo Co.

TISHOMINGO CO., Miss. – (WCBI) The man missing for nearly after falling off a boat in Tishomingo County has been identified as Cary Wayne Smith.

County Coroner Mack Wilemon says law enforcement followed up on a call by a barge operator and discovered the 25-year old’s body about three miles south of Crow’s Neck area at 11 a.m.

Wilemon adds that the Belmont native’s body will sent to Jackson for an autopsy.

Sheriff Glenn Whitlock previously say there were other men on the boat on Bay Springs Lake, but it appears to be an accident.
