MANTEE, Miss. (WCBI) – The City of Mantee held its 4th Annual Black Eyed Pea Festival complete with entertainment and a cooking contest.
The family-fun filled day included vendor booths offering everything from barbeque, hand-made jewelry, glassware and baked goods.
There was also a black eyed pea cooking contest with five delicious entries.
The winner was Mantee resident, Heath Sanford, who says he had a little help with his winning recipe.
The event was sponsored by the newly-renovated Bank of Okolona in downtown Mantee.
