Bond Set For Bruce Murder Suspects

CALHOUN COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Bond was set Friday morning for the two people accused of killing a man in Bruce.

Calhoun County Sheriff Greg Pollan says bond was set at $1 million each for Breanna Westmoreland, 17, and JaShon Coleman, 21.

Westmoreland and Coleman are both charged with armed robbery and capital murder.

Coleman also faces a possession of weapon charge.

The body of James Pratt, 31, was found early Thursday morning at a Bruce store.

A Bruce police officer spotted Pratt’s truck and went to investigate, that’s when he found Pratt shot to death inside the vehicle.

Pollan says surveillance video was used to help identify the suspects.

Right now, investigators believe the motive is robbery.
