Derma Police Chief Steps Down

DERMA, Miss. (WCBI) – There is now a new chief of police in Derma after Stan Evans announced he’s stepping down.

City clerk Joanna James said Evans is resigning from the position due to health issues.

Evans had been serving in the top spot since 2012. This was his third tour as Derma’s chief.

Stephen Faddock, who served as a part-time officer under Evans, has now been promoted as the new chief of police.

Evans was serving as the chief of police in both Derma and Bruce prior to him stepping down.

He’ll continue to serve as the police of chief in Bruce.
