BREAKING: Inmate escapes from Webster County

WEBSTER COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – An inmate escaped from the Webster County Sheriff’s Department just after 4 p.m. Sunday.

Anthony Logan, 18, is described as 5’5 and 160 pounds.

Logan has Burglary of a Dwelling charges.

“At about 3:45 this afternoon, the inmates were out on the yard to get fresh air and exercise. One of the inmates jumped up and pulled the wire down, a piece of rotten wood on the roof, and climbed up on the roof and escaped out the back of the jail. We are currently looking for him. Multiple agencies are helping us,” says Webster County Sheriff Andy McCants.

Logan was waiting to be transferred by MDOC to serve a five year sentence on a burglary conviction.
