BREAKING – Man claiming to be serial killer charged in Lee County case

LEE COUNTY (WCBI) –  A drifter and former boxer already serving time in California is now charged with an unsolved Lee County murder.

   78 year old Samuel Little has been in the spotlight for two weeks now after his claim to be a serial killer responsible for 90 murders across the country.   Lee County Sheriff Jim Johnson says his office is confident Little is the person responsible for the August 2005 murder of Nancy Stevens from Decatur, Alabama.

The 48 year old Stevens was found strangled to death on the side of County Road 41 near the Lee Pontotoc County line.   Sheriff Johnson says his Investigators were contacted by the Texas Rangers and advised that  Little had admitted to killing a female named “Nancy” possibly in the Tupelo area. On October 23rd, 2018, Investigators traveled to Wise County Jail in Decatur, TX. and interviewed Samuel Little. Little confessed to killing victim Nancy Stevens, giving detailed information only the suspect would know. Little stated he and Nancy were traveling in his RV and he killed Stevens in the West Main Walmart Parking lot in Tupelo, MS and dumped her body on the side of County Road 41. Little had prior knowledge of the Tupelo area from a short time he was here in 1995.
Little is also charged with murder in Pascagoula and a suspect in killings in Alabama and Georgia.
