Video: One Dead In Columbus Motorcycle Crash

COLUMBUS ( WCBI) – A motorcyclist is dead after losing control of his bike on Highway 82 near the Fairfield Inn.

Columbus Police say the biker was heading west on 82 when he lost control in the curve, jumped a guardrail, struck a road sign before crashing into the woods at the bottom of the embankment.  The crash started a grass fire which Columbus Fire crews had to control.  The name of the motorcycle rider is not being released pending notification of next of kin.
