Search on for Tupelo bank robber

TUPELO (WCBI) – Tupelo Police are looking for the man who tried to rob a midtown bank just before 5:00 Wednesday afternoon.

Captain Chuck McDougal said the robbery happened at the CB&S Bank at the corner of Garfield and South Gloster.

Captain McDougal released a photo of the possible suspect Wednesday afternoon.

The suspect in the case, who did not escape with any money, is a white man around 50-years-old. He ran from the bank wearing black sunglasses, a black hat and sweatshirt.

No one was injured in the attempted robbery.
