Bridges Closed For Repair In Oktibbeha County

OKTIBBEHA CO., Miss. (WCBI) – The state closes two bridges in Oktibbeha County for repairs.

After an inspection by the county and the Mississippi Office of State Aid Road Construction, bridges on Moor High Road and Sturgis – West Point Road are now closed.

Counties inspect bridges to find those in the worst condition, then send the list to the state.

State inspectors look at those bridges and then make a list for repairs, based on state funding.

Supervisor Bricklee Miller says the bridges in Oktibbeha County can not hold over five tons.

The bridges could be closed for about a month.
