Burnsville Man Charged With Killing Wife

BURNSVILLE (WCBI) – A Burnsville man is being held without bond after being accused of killing his wife.  Tishomingo County deputies forced their way into a Burnsville home around 4 Friday morning after a 9-1-1 caller said there was someone dead inside.    Officers found 59 year old Vickie Peters dead on the floor of the County Road 265 residence.

Her husband 60 year old Delmer Ray Peters was asleep near the body.   He was awakened and carried to a hospital  to be checked for injuries before he was released and arrested.

Sheriff John Daugherty says it is too early to release exactly how Vickie Peters died but says it is clear she did not die from natural causes. Delmer Peters was already free on bond on an Arson charge.
