STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) — Starkville community leaders are talking about the future of the area’s new partnership school.

At the Greater Starkville Development Partnership’s luncheon, Wednesday, a four-member panel discussed the school’s funding and philosophy.

Panelists explained how the $30 million was raised for the project.

The partnership school will be for sixth and seventh graders with the Starkville Oktibbeha School District.

“We are on a new horizon,” said Tim Bourne, Armstrong Middle School principal. “We are doing something different, something new with an age group that national statistics show is the largest retainees at this particular age group.”

Documents and renderings of the school should be coming soon.
