CAFB Front Gate Reopened
COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – The Columbus Air Force Base shut down its front gate and some surrounding buildings earlier today, November 2.
CAFB canines were alerted during a routine delivery inspection around 11 this morning, according to a spokesperson.
The dog team signaled that a household good shipment was potentially unsafe to enter the base.
The Main Gate, Visitor Control Center, Exchange, Commissary and other buildings were all closed until around 1 p.m. today.
