Video: Caledonia Man Booked on Arson Charges After Monday Blaze

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. – (WCBI) A Monday morning house fire turns into an arson case in Lowndes County.
Deputies have charged 50-year old Merida Emil Colvin with felony arson.

Lowndes deputies believe Colvin, who managed to escape when his two story home on Westbrook Road, was responsible for starting the early morning blaze in the attic. The home was heavily damaged by smoke and water.

Colvin was charged Monday afternoon. No word yet on bond.
