Calhoun Co. Escapes In Patrol Car, Search Continues, Car Found Near Maben

imageCALHOUN COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – North Mississippi law enforcement are searching for an escaped Calhoun County inmate.

Sheriff Greg Pollan says Daniel Easley was working outside of the Calhoun County Jail in Pittsboro about 5 PM on Sunday.

Easley got somehow got access to a spare patrol car parked at the jail.

The cruiser has been found in Oktibbeha County, near Maben, on AW Williams Road.

Calhoun, Oktibbeha and Clay County deputies are out with the vehicle and searching for Easley. U.S. Marshals will also be assisting in the manhunt.

Easley was in jail on a burglary charge. He’s now facing escape and grand larceny charges.
